An orientation programme is a platform for new comers to get themselves open to the new environment which have every thing new to turn as new course, new syllabus, new faculty, new methodology, new examination system and also new city to most of them.
Keeping above in mind an orientation programme for the 1st year students of BBA/BCA was held at HRIST conference hall with great enthusiasm and fervor. Most of them the students and parents / guardians attended the programme. On the occasion, a large number of other dignitaries including eminent academicians, trainers and administrators were also present.
The programme began with the lighting of the lamp and Saraswari Vandana, Chairman of the HRGI, Er. Anil Agarwal, BE, MIE, addressed the whole gathering, highlighting the vision, mission, objectives and future perspective of the Institute. He narrated that the Institute was fully committed to provide quality and value based professional and computer education; and special care was taken for the overall personality development of the students so that they can be prepared to face every challenge of future professional life.
Dr.V.K. Jain, Director General of the HR Group of Institutions threw light on the different dimensions of technical education. Dr. Rajeev Sijariya, Director of the Institute spoke about the ordinance of CCS University, Meerut. He also explained university norms of BBA/BCA courses for examination system, discipline etc. He also emphasized that students should follow the Code of Conduct of the Institute and not get involved in any in-disciplinary activities. He focused on value driven education by which they can be converted into the highly responsible and honest citizens with high moral and ethical values.
The students felt highly motivated and encouraged after listening to the views and opinions expressed by the speakers. Sumptuous snacks, refreshments and lunch were provided to all who participated in the programme.
Special addresses were done by (Dr.) B.K. Tandon, Dean, Faculty of Management, HRCTGI and (Dr.) Ashok kumar, Head, MBA Department, HRCTGI for giving insight of management education required at undergraduate level. They emphasized on learning through case study , seminars, presentations and other co-curricular activities. One interaction session was also kept for the purpose of replying various questions / doubts of the students and guardians. This session got special appreciation and involvement of participating community.
At the last, Director requested the guardian to feel free for contacting him at any time to discuss any of their issue.
All the faculty members / administrative staff, who actively participated in different activities of the programme, deserve appreciation for the valuable service they rendered for organizing the event.
