INDUSTRIAL VISIT OF BBA/BCA STUDENTS
An industrial visit of BBA/BCA First batch was made to Mother Dairy, Delhi on 07.04.2012 alongwith faculty members by college bus. This tour aimed for giving an exposure of practical work life situation and of production unit to the budding young management professionals. A group of students selected for the purpose started from college campus at about 9.00 A.M. in an enjoying mood and came back at 4.00 P.M. in the college campus with memorable and learning experience of the visit.
During their visit to Mother Dairy Plant, students were guided by the senior personnel (Mr. I.M. Josh) of the Company regarding the procurement, process and marketing systems of the milk and milk products in details with the help of interactional discussions and by demonstrating specially prepared documentary film for this purpose. Here nutritious value of the milk was also discussed. Students were amazed to know that a teenager requires four glasses of milk daily while children requires three glasses. Suitability of various milk variants to the different segment of the society on the basis of their age and work life style was also informed. It was nice to know that Mother Dairy alone sales 32 lac liters milk per day.
Ms. Swati Tyagi, BBA Ist year student and Ms. Anjali Gupta, BCA Ist year student happily shared their experience to their teachers about the following interesting procedure which takes place at Mother Daily. It starts from collection of milk from vendors after 23 quality tests conducted in routine checking of quality for any type of adulteration. Milk is stored in cool containers and dust particles are removed by applying concept of Centrifugal force. After that it is standardized and homogenized to give whiter, thicker and purer milk for ready to consume even without boiling it so that the vitamins, menerals and protein of the milk can be preserved in the milk and may be absorbed by the body without being evaporated by the process of boiling. Mr.Mohd. Zaib and Mr.Anand, BBA students say that it was a wonderful and memorably experience of visiting the plant.
During this period at the end of visit, they also provided flavored milk as well as ice cream to the students made by the company. Students relished the preparation and quality of the milk products.
